We are very excited to welcome Omid Darvish as the guest curator for the music program of Salam Music 2025!
The Vienna-based singer, composer, and tanbur player (Kurdophone, HUUUM) is a regular presence both on stage and in the audience at Salam Music.
It is a true pleasure for us to collaborate with Omid Darvish to create an exciting music program for the next festival edition.

I am delighted to be this year's guest curator for Salam Music. This festival has a special place in the Austrian cultural landscape, as it provides a rare opportunity to experience artists who are often difficult to see in concert here. By bringing these musicians to Vienna, the Salam Festival adds new colours to the Austrian music scene and expands its sonic and cultural diversity.
For this year's edition, I have focused on inviting artists from a wide range of genres, spanning from the Middle East to West Africa. My aim is to highlight the beautiful diversity of musical traditions from these regions, and to show how deeply rooted sounds can resonate across borders and generations.
Music has the power to unite people across language and geography, and I hope this year's festival will inspire, challenge and bring joy to all who attend.
