Avin Ahmadi & Morvarid Tahmasbi / Jam Session

The duo Avin Ahmadi & Morvarid Tahmasbi opens the musical evening at the festival center. Following that, Orwa Saleh, the host of the festival center, invites everyone to the legendary jam session on the festival center stage. Numerous musicians gather to experiment, improvise, and, most importantly, have fun making music together.

Avin Ahmadi is an oud player and singer from Tehran who expresses her deepest emotions and thoughts through her creative processes. Her musical journey began at a young age with a true passion for the oud. She is currently studying music in Vienna, discovering the realms of world music, constantly learning, exploring, playing with melodies, and rhythms, and expanding her musical perspective towards Eastern music, despite her Western homeland.

Morvarid Tahmasbi is a student of media music and a talented kamanche player who was born in Iran in October 2000. She has been taking kamanche lessons since the age of eight and has already gained experience in various ensembles in Iran. Currently based in Vienna, she leads her own projects in which improvisation plays an important role.
